I used their platform to practice dialogues, and the exam ended up being very similar to what I had trained. The structure, vocabulary, and topics were extremely helpful and realistic. Even though I was very nervous during the test, the practice I did on NaCl Prep gave me the confidence to keep going and deliver the meaning correctly. I passed with a score of 75.5/90, and I can say the platform played a big role in that. If you are preparing for NAATI CCL, this is definitely a great resource. π₯³π₯³π₯³

Thank you. Thanks for the app and got my results within a week as well. One of the dialogue was exactly one that I had practiced and which was on the practice website.

NaCl Prep, a real hidden gem. There is no other platform like this in an affordable package for Naati CCL preparation. While all other plaftforms are looting as the exam itself is expensive, NaCl provide great transparency even before subscription. With no extra coaching, i was able to achieve this score on my first attempt. #Naati #NaatiMalayalam #NaatiHindi #Naatimocktest #Naatiselfpreparation

Hi All This is Paarth Chaturvedi, 26, based in Brisbane. I wanted to thanks NaCl Prep group and all the members in it, I was able to get practical suggestions on how to go about the exam, how to prep and what to expect. Advise from experienced guys and hold of NaCl Al Model, I was able to understand what to expect and how to go about it. Because of these things I was able to clear my NAATI exam in hindi in the first go. I would definitely recommend this to all the people looking to clear their NAATI exam, I think its 100% worth it. Once again, huge thanks to the team and wonderful members in this group. Cheers. Paarth Chaturvedi

I practiced over 150 dialogues for fun! π
Dialogue 1: 36/45. Dialogue 2: 36/45. I prepared for 1 week only. Took 5 days leave and did rigourous prep. Practiced NACL prep exclusively( about 50-60 latest dialogues on their site). I couldn't do note taking as I write slow, so gave the exam without notes. NACL prep scores are similar to actual exam scores, actual exam being more lenient. I am native English speaker with Hindi spoken less frequently.

If i share chat history with @sajjan_maan π, i asked every other day bhai isko hindi mei kya kehte. He patiently helped with every doubt. Finally study and hard work of 2 months paid off, was stressful to study along with full time job ππππ»

Thank you to the group for the invaluable feedback and tips that helped me pass the exam. Special thanks to Anand for the appβit was a great help!
Thanks to the group Wishing everyone good luck and praying you guys get the expected result. ππππ₯°

and many more...Everything you need to know about the NAATI CCL exam and NaCl Prep.
NAATI CCL stands for Credentialed Community Language. It is a credential test by NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) that assesses your ability to interpret between English and a Language Other Than English (LOTE). Passing awards 5 bonus points toward Australian Permanent Residency under the General Skilled Migration program.
Passing the NAATI CCL exam awards 5 bonus points toward Australian Permanent Residency (PR) under the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program. These 5 points are often the difference between receiving an invitation and missing out in a competitive SkillSelect round.
You need at least 63 out of 90 overall AND at least 29 out of 45 in each individual dialogue. If either dialogue scores below 29, it is an automatic fail β even if your total exceeds 63.
NaCl Prep's AI is trained specifically on NAATI CCL interpreting patterns and closely mirrors the real marking criteria. Multiple verified candidates report that NaCl Prep scores closely matched their actual exam results β with the real exam often being slightly more lenient. Candidates who score consistently above 75% on NaCl Prep have generally been in a safe zone for the real exam.
It depends on your language proficiency level β and yes, it has been done. For native or heritage speakers, passing in one week of intensive practice is very achievable. One candidate took 5 days of intensive leave, practiced 50β60 of the latest NaCl Prep dialogues exclusively, and scored 36/45 on Dialogue 1 and 36/45 on Dialogue 2. For candidates with strong but non-native bilingual skills, 2β4 weeks of consistent daily practice is more typical.
NaCl Prep organises dialogues across 11 topic categories: Health, Legal, Immigration, Education, Social Services, Business, Housing, Consumer Affairs, Financial, Community, and Insurance β covering every scenario tested in the real NAATI CCL exam. Use the category filter in the app to browse dialogues by topic.
Yes. All dialogues can be practiced for free β no account required. A paid plan is needed to unlock AI evaluation and scoring. The Basic plan starts at $8.99 USD per week. There is no subscription β it is a one-time payment for the access period you choose.
The chime is an audio signal played after each dialogue segment ends. It tells you to begin your interpretation. You have 5 seconds to start speaking. Aim to begin within 3 seconds to leave enough time for full delivery. NaCl Prep replicates the exact chime sound in all practice sessions.
NaCl Prep supports all 50 LOTE languages tested in the NAATI CCL: Arabic, Bangla (Bengali), Bosnian, Bulgarian, Burmese (Myanmar), Cantonese, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Dzongkha, Filipino, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Hungarian, Igbo, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Khmer, Korean, Malay, Malayalam, Mandarin, Marathi, Nepali, Odia (Oriya), Pashto, Persian (Farsi), Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Sinhalese (Sinhala), Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese. Use the language selector in the app to switch between languages.
Preparation time depends on your current bilingual proficiency. Some candidates pass after 10β15 focused days; others take 2β3 months. The key is consistency β daily practice of 30β60 minutes and completing at least 50 dialogues on NaCl Prep with careful AI feedback review. Continue until you score Clear Pass (above 70%) on both dialogues consistently.
A typical NAATI CCL dialogue has between 10 and 16 segments, alternating between English and your LOTE. Most exam-length dialogues fall around 12β14 segments. Each segment is spoken by one speaker and you interpret it after the chime before the next segment plays.
You are allowed one repeat per dialogue without any penalty. Additional repeats beyond that incur a mark deduction at the evaluator's discretion. Use a repeat only when you genuinely missed or misunderstood a segment β not for minor stumbles. If you have already started speaking, NAATI evaluates your first recording; repeats only replace the recording if you have not yet spoken.
Yes. You may use plain white paper and a pen. You must show the blank paper to the camera during exam setup β nothing written on it beforehand. Focus your notes on key information, proper nouns, numbers, and technical terms rather than trying to transcribe everything. Many candidates pass using memory alone for shorter segments and notes only for longer, complex ones.
NAATI speakers use pure LOTE β they will not mix in English words the way people do in casual conversation. You must also interpret into formal, pure LOTE. If you genuinely do not know the LOTE word for something, using the English term is acceptable and far better than pausing, losing fluency, or omitting the idea entirely.
Yes. NAATI requires a second device β typically a mobile phone β to record a side-angle view clearly showing your face, your notes, and your laptop. Use landscape orientation. Put the phone in airplane mode (you may re-enable WiFi after to keep the proctoring app connected) and disable auto-lock so the screen stays on throughout the exam.
